· Worked in Components group developing add-on software for Xchange Campaign Marketing Suite.  Was the sole developer of all web-based versions of Components.  These Components were developed using Java Servlets, XML, and XSL.

· Developed web-based versions of Component Manager, Segment Manager, and Extended Attributes.  Back-end was written as a Java Servlet using JDBC and HTML pages were rendered using XML and XSL.  Each of the components used were programmed to work against Oracle, DB2 UDB, DB2 OS/390, and Teradata databases.

· Set up all Components to work on BEA Weblogic 6.1 and WebSphere 4.0.

Senior Software Engineer

· Developed Java RMI servers, EJBs, and Java servlets to create transactions with healthcare partners.  EJBs were developed using Weblogic’s Tengah.

· Wrote MedlinkServer, a Java RMI server used for getting patient eligibility.  This server had one public method that would take a patient ID.  It would then use the X12 Translator to create an X12 message using the patient ID.  X12 is a protocol for many health care transactions.  The X12 message would then be sent to Medlink via a sockets connection.  Medlink would return an X12 message, which would indicate the eligibility of the patient.

· Created X12 Translator using Java.  This class is used for creating X12 messages.  It uses Symphonia messaging engine to parse strings to create Java objects.

· Developed NCPDP Server, a Java RMI server used for sending NCPDP messages to partners.  This server acted like the MedlinkServer, except it used the NCPDP protocol instead of X12.

· Created NCPDP Translator using Java.  This translator is similar to the X12 Translator.  Messages included New prescription, Refill Request, and Change Request.

· Developed parts of NetMarket, a web-based market.  Wrote HTML pages using an In-house tool.  Designed queries and created databases in Oracle using PL/SQL on a Sun Sparcstation UNIX platform.

· Programmed and developed parts of Arachne, a distributed software development environment written in C++ using gcc on a HP-Unix platform. This environment is based on the CORBA specification and a number of public domain tools for TCP/IP networking, remote procedure call support, and cross-platform GUI display. 

· Translated a Semantic Network Server from Macintosh Pascal to UNIX C++.  Approximately 30,000 lines of code.  Designed and programmed GUI for writing and reading semantic nets.

· Programmed parts of a Guideline Authoring Tool in C++.  This tool is being developed for the medical industry to guide doctors through different procedures, such as breast cancer treatment.  Wrote saving/reading procedures for guideline files.  Designed and programmed GUI for the Guideline Authoring Tool.
